Are there federal tax for energy improvements in the home or business?

Homeowners who undertake certain energy-efficient home renovations are eligible for federal tax rebates. The amount of the tax credit and the product qualifying restrictions for the credit are subject to change. Tax credits of up to 30% of the cost of a modest wind or geothermal heat pump, with no maximum, are available until December 31, 2016.

How do you obtain a grant or other financial support to develop an energy-related innovation or business?

Inventors can apply for funding from the US Department of Energy in three ways: through the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs, the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy, or through an unsolicited proposal. What is sourcing in supply-chain management?

We use sourcing and procurement interchangeably. Supply Chain Management includes the entire process from identifying a customer requirement to delivery of that customer part on time, every time, of the quality that they require.

Sourcing or Procurement is a piece of Supply Chain Management and is primarily dedicated to identifying the right factory source that can make the product to the customer’s specifications. Once the right vendor is “sourced”, Mechanical Power “procures” the product for the customer.

What exactly is the significance of global sourcing?

Because the “world is flat,” most manufacturers compete against global companies that are all attempting to sell to a global market of customers.

Regardless of geography, global sourcing is critical in identifying the right product at the right price. Companies that excel at global sourcing are more competitive in the global marketplace.
